WGM earns second Bicycle Friendly Business award

League of American Bicyclists awards Kalispell office with bronze-level accolades

WGM Group’s Kalispell office joins our Bozeman cohorts and has earned a Bronze Bicycle Friendly Business (BFB) award from the League of American Bicyclists, which recognized our passion for integrating walkability and bikability into our design efforts as well as our use of multi-modal transportation on our day-to-day commutes.

Earlier this year, the League awarded our Bozeman office with a bronze-level BFB. That spurred our Kalispell office to join the movement in transforming the American workplace to be more welcoming to our clients and employees who bike. So many more have joined or returned to the bike movement during the pandemic, and we are proud to support the health and well-being of our Bozeman and Flathead communities by being more welcoming to people choosing to bike.

“These awards are a testament to what we have built the Bicycle Friendly America program as well as our ‘Drive Less, Bike More’ challenge around: people want to work at, live in and visit places where getting to every day destinations car-free is possible, and when they can, business is not only better – life is better for everyone,” said Bill Nesper, executive director of the League of American Bicyclists. “WGM Group and Bicycle Friendly Businesses like it are pushing back on car-dependency by helping bike commuters, both in their staff and in their surrounding communities, choose cycling more, and the League is proud to honor that commitment.”

In our WGM Kalispell office, a love of biking is a common thread which, connects our already strong team. The majority of our office commutes to work on foot or bicycle, leaving ample parking for clients in our downtown lot. We have impromptu after work social rides that are great team builders. We even voted to have our summer gathering via a bike pub crawl, which was a ton of fun!

With this award, we join a total of 1,527 current BFBs across the country, all united in a commitment to transform American workplaces to be more welcoming to customers and employees who bike. The Bicycle Friendly Business award recognizes an organization’s contributions over months and years to the movement to build a Bicycle Friendly America for everyone.
