Living Our Values and Creating Great Montana Jobs.

One of our values at WGM Group is protecting and enhancing “frontcountry” access - meaning the ability to get into outdoor recreation sites close quickly and easily from the places where we live and work. The ability to hike, fish, bike, and get outdoors with our families defines our company culture. It also elevates our ability to recruit and retain top-level talent for the planning, engineering, surveying, and design jobs being created at our offices in Missoula, Bozeman, Kalispell, Helena, and Hamilton.  As a community-centric company, we see frontcountry as a gathering place for people from different backgrounds and perspectives - giving us all the opportunity to discover more of what brings us together.

Partnering with Montana State Parks Foundation to Further our Mission.

Montana’s 55 State Parks offer residents and visitors an incredible opportunity to explore our heritage, connect with family members, and play outside year-round.  The Montana State Parks Foundation does an excellent job of supporting those parks, and promoting their accessibility and amenities. We’re proud to have a close relationship with Montana State Parks Foundation, including having our CEO Brent Campbell serve on the Board.

We’ve also had the honor of providing surveying, planning, engineering, environmental services, and landscape architecture to Montana State Parks over the years. Those projects are an extension of our commitment to doing exceptional work for the communities we serve and the State of Montana.

Here’s one great example of our work with Montana State Parks Projects:

Traveler’s Rest State Park. Lolo, Montana.

Traveler’s Rest State Park just outside Lolo, in western Montana, has deep historical significance and offers a wide variety of recreational activities. It is the only archaeologically verified campsite of the Lewis and Clark expedition in the nation. Before that, the area was long used by Montana’s native people - particularly the Salish. Throughout the year visitors flock to the Park to follow in Lewis and Clark’s footsteps, and to hike, fish, bird watch; and to enjoy the museum and visitor center amenities.

WGM Group team members donated their time and expertise to surveying, planning, and designing the site layout. Our teams also assisted with a meticulous grading of the site to ensure construction was smooth and steady. We were proud to partner with Jackson Contractor Group to ensure the project was a success from start to finish.

As professionals, we’re proud of the strong design and successful project completion. As community members, we’re honored to know we’ve helped create access to one of Montana’s frontcountry recreation treasures and protected the state’s historical legacy.
