Wildlife Crossings and Highway Safety on I-90

On July 30th, we were honored to present planning alternatives to mitigate wildlife-vehicle collisions while seeking to maintain habitat connectivity and healthy wildlife populations at an event hosted by the Montana Department of Transportation.

The presentation focused specifically on the potential for a wildlife crossing to improve safety on I-90 between Drummond and Jens. Presentation materials included spatial analysis of collision data, wildlife photos showing crossing activity, and a toolbox of potential safety features and wildlife crossing elements.
