Old Sawmill District
Once a vital part of the wood products industry in Montana, the Old Sawmill District operated as a lumber mill using the adjacent Blackfoot and Clark Fork rivers to transport and process logs on this 46-acre site. Even though the mill closed in the late 1980s, industrial manufacturing continued on the site for a decade, but has since been vacant. Now the Old Sawmill District is on its way to becoming an exemplary brownfield and infill redevelopment. The Old Sawmill District Mixed-used Development Plan includes adaptive re-use, environmental clean-up, expansion of the riverfront park system, and urban mixed-use development in the center of this Rocky Mountain regional hub. WGM Group is providing land use planning, project management, public relations, surveying, and engineering in the development of the conceptual plans for the site.
