Senior Transportation Engineer

Transportation Engineering Intern
Looking for an entry-level transportation engineer to assist with basic contract administration through record keeping and file management. Performs design computations/analyses as requested (grading, drainage, paving geometric design, utility design, etc.) under direct supervision of a professional engineer. May research code issues, work with city, state and county officials, and conduct other research including design options and document review. Supports project engineers by performing the routine tasks of civil engineering assignments. Performs highway and street design work including drafting of plans and details, drainage design, typical sections, designing vertical and horizontal alignments, earthwork computations, and monitoring the design for compliance with established standards using Microstation and GeoPak software. Primarily conducts field observations to ensure compliance with job specifications and prepares daily reports of observations.
Land Survey Intern or Party Chief
Looking for an experienced Land Survey Intern or Field Survey Party Chief to perform field boundary survey and construction layout work for various projects in the western Montana area. Current position is seasonal (March through November) but could develop into year-round employment. Experience in land survey field work is required, and college level land surveying coursework and/or a LSI certification is preferred. Applicant should be familiar with RTK-GPS/GNSS field measurements, use of a robotic total station, and Trimble Access software on the TSC3 controller data collector. Past work with the Trimble S6 robotic total station and Trimble R8/R10 GNSS receivers is a plus.
Land Survey Field Technician
Looking for a land survey field technician to work with a Land Survey Party Chief on construction layout, mapping, and boundary surveys for various projects in the western Montana area. This position requires the ability to perform the following tasks: lift and carry up to 40 pounds of survey equipment; walk over rough or steep terrain; perform repetitive hammering of stakes or survey monuments; perform brush clearing with axe or machete; and use digging tools. Previous field survey crew experience or understanding of engineering plans and survey maps is preferred.
