I like the suggested trail along the clay hills by the airport. It really ought to be a road, but I guess that's not going to happen.

When will the trail be built? I live out that way and it would really come in handy.

Regarding the trail along the Clay Hills:
This trail will be built as the area becomes more developed and as funding becomes available. There is currently no construction date set.

I would like to ask about sidewalks. Does WGM do any planning with regard to sidewalks in the older parts of town - sidewalk retrofits. Has a plan to sidewalk all of Missoula been proposed? Does WGM endorse the Complete Streets program?

Thank you,

Jon Salmonson

We believe sidewalks and pedestrian facilities are an important part of any street. This promotes quality neighborhoods, walkable communities, transit, and sustainable design. We work with the City to plan good pedestrian routes in existing neighborhoods and new developments. For more information on the City's sidewalk plans, contact Doug Harby with the City Public Works Department at 552-6091 or dharby@ci.missoula.mt.us
